The Music We Lost

Recently, I was listening to the music of Jim Croce, one of my favorites singer/songwriters from the 70s. Unfortunately, he died too soon at age 40 just as he was on his way to making it big. Had he lived, I’m sure he would have written and recorded many more awesome songs. I thought about all the music we have missed because of musicians’ untimely deaths. Strange as it may seem, there is something called 27 Club, marking the number of celebrities, including musicians, who died at 27. Although considered urban myth, the claim continues that there is a spike in deaths of musicians at age 27. Below, you will see I have listed five of them.

I feel sure I have left out many who deserve recognition for their achievements. If you would like to add a deceased musician, whose music made an impact on you, please add their name in the reply box below.
