The Mobile Reader takes a book everywhere he or she goes when traveling, sitting in a waiting room, lounging by the pool, or lying on the beach. Another author’s favorite.
The Dust Collector Reader picks up a book from time to time, so infrequently, they forget what has happened in the story and who the characters are. Not a favorite of authors.
The Distracted Reader attempts to read while their thoughts are on other things. They find themselves rereading a paragraph because it didn’t stick the first time. Sometimes, they have stuff going on in the background such as the television on, people talking, children playing.
The Me-Time Reader sees reading as their reward for a hard day’s work. This is their moment to relax and enjoy a good book. They are escaping the real world and traveling to a different place in a different time with interesting characters.
The Sleepy Reader gets drowsy every time they pick up a book. They may get through a chapter but often do not. It takes them a long time to finish a book; however, they stick with it. I fall into this category. Do you?
