Author’s Note: What I enjoyed most about writing this story is having more about Colt’s personal life with his wife Kate and his daughter Maddie. There is even a scene where Colt is helping to teach Maddie how to drive. In this story, the Jessup family is handling a crisis the best they know how while getting on with their lives. It is a heart-wrenching story about a serious problem we have in our country today.
